Witchbog

Right in the heart of the Union, lies a foul, treacherous swampland (A fact rivals of the Union rarely skim over) so-called Witchbog.
The name, of course, comes from the stories of witch covens, trolls, will-o' wisps, monsters and more; hard to separate fact from legend.
The area has been home to goblins, lizardfolk and other such creatures; as well as bellu'ye communities. The Union has tried to settle the region in multiple, distinct occasions, but disease, creatures and unruly settlers scared by the lecherous enviroment made each attempt a complete failure.
On top of that, outside of frogs, oily fish and a few medicinal herbs, there's no real incentive to build in the region, an already difficult proposition.
