Qualifications
To become the Rose one must exemplify strength and grace on the battlefield, to go against all odds and remain victorious. One does not train to become the Rose, they are made in service. There can only be one Rose at a time, yet others of similar valor and skill may become Rose Knights.

The King handpicks the Rose from the most talented soldiers of the kingdom, the appointment is held in private.

Benefits
Rose of Blackwald's get a monetary increase for serving the King personally, as well as one of the greatest honors of the kingdom. They do not wield immense militaristic or political power but they are respected and obviously learn all that the King and royalty does, giving them a very trusted post as the King's confidant.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The Rose gets rewarded by the Black Rose Armor and Weaponry that has been carried by the former Rose's for many years, with special enhancements and different types of weaponry made to suit most fighting styles, each Rose gains considerable power from before.
Amongst all this equipment the theme of being constantly held anynomous remains, always obscuring the face of the Rose.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The Rose may only be dismissed or removed from their title if they commit treason of some kind that would affect the royal family negatively, or fail considerably at their task, such as letting the royal family die.
Otherwise the King has authority to do so in the case they deem the Rose to have failed in a way they cannot redeem themselves from, this rarely happens.
History
Every Blackwald King has had a Rose, making certain that in Blackwald history a lot of Rose's have been at the thick of it.
Cultural Significance
The Rose Knight is the most powerful Blackwald Knight and embodies the aspects of the most noble and most dutiful person. It is a great honor and example for the people of the kingdom while other Kingdoms and people at large in the world see that as their biggest threat to present in a single person.
Notable Holders
Unlike most other ranks, the Rose foregoes personal prestige and hides the identity of each Rose, making notability hard.
