Personal history
Desmond was born thirty six years before the events of the current day, he was born a peasant and aspired to become a knight his early childhood where he spent his time mostly playing with his friends.
Eventually he joined the army and made himself famous on the battlefield, being soon recruited into the kingdoms then special forces, the Blackguard. In the ensuing times of war with Phostra, Desmond fought many battles with a man only known as 'The Knight General' and lost his left eye to him.
Eventually however Phostra was capable of killing the entire Blackwaldian royal family through assassins and foul play. With no one else to save the kingdom from chaos and ruin, Desmond took leadership and rushed his troops back into position, saving the kingdom and gaining the people's love as a hero, and a king.
Desmond was crowned the unofficial but official king of Blackwald and recognized by their allies the kingdom of Haven, Desmond even made the Phostrans impressed and reclaimed the vows of old, stopping the war between the kingdoms to only small skirmishes and ensuring a peace of a kind.
He rules to this day, battleworn and loved by his people.

He joined the official army of North Wolf military arm of the Blackwald kingdom and trained at Hillside Fort.
He spent his time at the Blackguard training facility in Blackwald when he was recruited.
Desmond was given his education on Kingship at the Black Keep, the castle of the capital.

Accomplishments & Achievements
The miracle at Gaken's Outlook
Battle for Gaken's Outlook during the pre-skirmish war seemed hopeless. The Phostran line was making a push and it seemed like the battle lines long held by Blackwald were to be crushed. Led by the infamous Knight-general, Phostra was poised to break the Blackwald defense and make a sneak grab for Peashed. However due to the actions of Blackguard Desmond, the attack was repelled and even if Desmond lost his eye, it is said that the Knight-general also suffered a permanent injury much like the future King did.
Failures & Embarrassments
Arrival of the White Lady
Desmond has lost and won over his life but he to this day sees the dragon attack on Blackwald as inexcusable failure. The red dragon that attacked killed many of the capitals defensers and some of its innocent and even more so wounded their savior. It was not even he or his close Rose knights that dealt with the beast, but the dragon slayer witch of the Crow.
This event alone made some noblemen doubt his ability to lead.
