Apyrria

A dark world where only dreams hold hope and faith has all but been washed from the world. War torn and ruined, many have lost family and others their sanity. A despair ridden world tainted by darkness and sorrow. Apyrria is the home of sorrow, death, and malice.   Great cities once stood on the great plains of Almterra, but now only bodies and rubble remain of the semblance of them that remain. Few of these still stand, leaving many homeless or dead. However, few remain of the olden days when civilization ruled among this dark and dreary land. When light blossomed over the darkness that now blankets the world.   Monsters roam this world in droves, as such, almost nowhere is safe. The cities represent the only safe havens remaining, and the people live in terror as every night, something could emerge. There are however, some who fight against this darkness. Using their bodies as weapons and their faith as armor against the bleak blight.   "Magic in Faith, and embody the Soul". A quote from one who once existed long ago, inspires those who fight. Carrying her will in their hands, and her fire in their spirit. Few who follow these words survive long, but their efforts tend to inspire others. Some join and die, but some live to fight. Will you hide and die like so many before you, or will you take up your body and battle that which plagues the world?
