La isla del Fuego del Diablo
The Largest Island in the Appalpachia Archipelago Geographically, Approximately 90,000 Square kilometers in area, and home to most of the Agriculture on the islands. The flat Volcanic plains are among the most fertile on earth. Of note is the highly competitive culture of Brewing and Distilling. The French, German, British and Spanish families compete against each other in the Pt Headland Fair, brewing ales, fermenting fine wines and distilling spirits and Liqueurs.
Pt Headland is a popular location amongst the more financailly conscious of the Archapaelogos residents, the Cheap Drinks right from the source are just fine, and it is only a 2 hour ferry ride from Grebils to get there.
Geography
The long rolling fields of Wheat, Barley, Grapes and grazing Cows dominate from sea to Sea. The Volcanic Mt Ignatus splits the Island intwain, the only remaining trace of the Island's native Flora and Fauna, lies to the South.
Fauna & Flora
The South Island is Dominated by a tall native tree known as the Shaeoak. The Wood is incredibly dense and strong, taking close to 1000s of years to reach maturity. Working it requires specialist tools and the logs are incredible sources of heat when burned. Recent laws prevent the felling of these ancient trees but local caprenters collect fallen branches and use them for small projects, like spoons.
There is a population of various introduced animals, which have remained in low population numbers, but enough to be noted by conservationists.
Wolves, Foxes, Bears, and Boars are among the most populous of the introduced species. Native to the island are Migratory Ravens and Rock Hopper Penguins along the south coast.
