The Radiant King

The Radiant King is the central deity of the Church of the Holy Light. He is a powerful yet spiteful god, yet he is revered as the almighty protector of the world. The Church of the Holy Light falsely teaches that the Radiant King is a caring and gracious god, and he is said to guide and protect those who worship him.
In reality, The Radiant King is lazy and inattentive. Believing his ancient enemy, The Demon Lord, to be defeated and sealed away. he is long past caring about the affairs of mortals, and bathes in the unparalleled power their worship and mana feeds him.
He shows no mercy to those offered to him in death as Heretics, and smites them out of existence forevermore. Many in the Church of the Holy Light view this as a just and righteous punishment for those who refuse their god.
The Radiant King supplies every noble with a supply of Radiant Mana, which allows individuals to perform holy magic. The power of Radiant Mana supplied to a noble is directly proportional to the purity of their noble blood. While this makes his job easy, as he does not have to pay attention to every individual who wishes for his power, it has an interesting side effect that his blessing cannot be revoked until the person's death. While troublesome, he views this issue as too insignificant to care, and believes the mortals in charge of his religion will rectify and punish the individual for heresy to be judged.
