The Dark Goddess is loving and attentive, and pays great care to all who worship her. She provides her followers with the power to influence others, and those with particularly strong magic see this ability to a greater extent. The Dark Goddess hates the Radiant King, and takes great pleasure in converting his followers to her Dark Faith.
The Dark Goddess embodies the ideas of forgiveness for one's faults, but is stern in her punishments. She welcomes those who opposed her into her peaceful embrace to slumber for eternity. She also grants her followers skills of camouflage and deceit, allowing them to avoid discovery and protect the secrets of the Cult.
For instance, while imperfect, the only way to detect a member of her Dark Faith is through a large-scale miasma of dark energy emanating from the area they reside in, although this cannot be traced directly to a specific individual. The scale of miasma is directly proportional to the amount of power instilled in them by the Dark Goddess herself.
The Dark Goddess is worshiped by the Cult of the Dark Goddess, a group of devout followers who have pledged their allegiance to both the Dark Goddess and Astrid. The Cult celebrates a holiday known as the Night of the Darkening Moon, where they perform rituals and offerings to the Dark Goddess, and celebrate with feasts and drinks.
Despite her dark nature, the Dark Goddess is a complex and nuanced deity, with a deep love for her followers and a burning hatred for her enemies. She is a powerful force to be reckoned with, and those who worship her are granted great power and strength.
