Isaiah is a tall and handsome priest of the Holy Kingdom, known for his skill with holy magic and devotion to the Church of the Holy Light. Isaiah Sables is a young man who was born and raised in the Holy Kingdom. His parents were devout followers of the Holy Church from a minor noble family on the outskirts of the Lightloved region, and he grew up with a strong faith in the teachings of the Church. He was sent to investigate the corruption of the Luciene branch of the Church, and bears witness to Astrid and Anya's thorough and well-planned revenge against the corrupt officials.
The revelation of the corruption shakes Isaiah's faith, and he is left feeling confused and lost. However, latent energy eminating from Astrid, a conduit for the Dark Goddess, tempts those vulnerable to corruption. The voice of the Dark Goddess whispers for Isaiah to seek her out, and he becomes morally conflicted as he struggles with his duty and his newfound desire.
Astrid, attempting to come clean about the Dark Goddess being a fake role-playing fairy tale, apologizes to the visibly shaken Isaiah. But the Dark Goddess herself manifests before them, through Astrid, and Isaiah is fully swayed by her vast power. He renounces his faith in the Radiant King and accepts the blessing of the Dark Goddess as her priest.
Having pledged his loyalty to the young Astrid, he sets off for the Holy Capitol to forge official documents for her and Anya, and to become a spy within the Church of the Holy Light. He is determined to help Astrid and Anya in their quest to conquer the world and serve the Dark Goddess, no matter the cost.

Physical quirks

Isaiah has a few physical quirks that are notable. One of his quirks is that he tends to hunch and slouch when acting casually. This is likely a result of his anxiety and inner conflict, as he feels uncomfortable and out of place in social situations. Another quirk is his habit of rubbing the back of his neck when he is feeling stressed or overwhelmed. It is a nervous habit that he is unable to control, but is a relatively minor quirk. Lastly, is whenever he feels confident and secure in himself and the expectations of him, he slicks his hair back with his hands and gains a very confident and sinister expression. This is a subtle gesture that he gained as a result of his shift in loyalty and mindset, and shows his dedication to the Dark Goddess and her goals.

Isaiah typically wears a white priest's robe with golden trim, signifying his status as a bishop within the Church of the Holy Light. The robe is long and flowing, with embroidery along the hem and sleeves. He also wears a pair of well-made black boots, which are practical and functional for his duties and travels.

Mental Trauma

Isaiah experienced a great deal of mental trauma while struggling with his faith and loyalty. Even as a devout follower, he began to tire from the monotony of his duties, and began to have doubts about the Church's teachings and practices, and he struggled with his faith. He began to secretly question the Church's authority and actions, and he was tormented by his inner conflict.
Isaiah held a great guilt for his doubts, and was torn between his loyalty to the Church and his growing skepticism about its teachings. This inner conflict causes him great distress and leaves him feeling lost and confused. As a devout follower of the Holy Church, he is deeply shaken by the corruption that he witnesses within the organization. This corruption finally was the ultimate challenge to his beliefs that caused him to become disillusioned and disgusted with everything he has known.
Additionally, the temptation of the Dark Goddess and the power that she offers him caused him to breifly grapple with his morals and values. He was torn between his duty to the Church and his desire for power and vindication, but ultimately settled on the latter
As a result of his, Isaiah suffers from anxiety. He is constantly questioning his decisions and actions, yet is never again unsure of where his loyalty lies. This leaves him with a very confident and sinister attitude whenever he is reminded of his allegiance to the Cult of the Dark Goddess and the Dark Faith. But he often misplaces that confidence, and hides within his shell of self-doubt and anxiety until his truth is once again brought to the surface.

Motivation

Isaiah's was once a devout follower of the Holy Church, but his growing doubts and disillusionment with its imperfection led him to turn his back on the Church and pledge his loyalty to the Dark Goddess. Now, he is motivated by his desire to serve the Dark Goddess and help Astrid in her quest for power and domination.
Driven by the feeling of worth and purpose that his loyalty to the Dark Goddess gives him, he is disgusted by the world and the life he lived before becoming a Cultist. He feels that by serving the Dark Goddess, he can make up for his past and contribute to a greater cause. He is now willing to do whatever it takes to bring the Dark Goddess to power, using the reasoning that doing dark deeds means nothing if the Holy Church is willing to do them as well.

LIKES

Structure: Isaiah has a deep love of structure because it helps him feel organized and in control. Having clear rules and expectations allows him to understand his role and responsibilities, enabling him to cut down on the large amount of anxiety he tends to feel. The sense of security and predictability also helps him feel confident and assured in his actions and decisions.
Magic: Isaiah has a fondness for magic, and enjoys exploring its various applications. He is not very skilled in the fundementals of elemental magic, and is quite amazed by skilled users of elemental magic. However, as a nobleborn man, he has a fantastic aptitude for Holy magic, which he perfected through his studies with the Church of the Holy Light, allowing him to heal, protect, and enhance others. Finally, through his loyalty to the Dark Goddes, Isaiah is one of the few mages able to use mind magic, allowing him to manipulate the thoughts and emotions of others. He finds a bit satisfaction in using this magic, partially because of the sense of power it gives him, but also because it helps him in his overall anxious day-to-day life.
Alcohol: Isaiah enjoys drinking alcohol in excess. He finds that it helps him to relax and unwind after a long day, and uses it as a way to escape from the stress and anxiety of his daily life. Isaiah also likes the taste and variety of different alcoholic drinks, and often seeks out new and interesting beverages. Furthermore, as a member of the Cult of the Dark Goddess, he has access to The Midnight Rose, which has an incredible selection of alcoholic drinks, though he has to consume it in the secret bunker beneath the tavern itself. Lastly, Isaiah has holy magic that allows him to purify his blood of alcohol and prevent himself from receiving hangovers.
Art: Isaiah has a passion for making art, such as painting or drawing. He finds solace in expressing himself through creative outlets, and in creating beautiful scenes or images on paper or canvas. Isaiah discovered this passion as a way to cope with his stress and anxiety. He enjoys the sense of accomplishment and pride that comes with completing a piece of art, and may be motivated by the idea of creating something beautiful and enduring.

Travel: Isaiah dislikes traveling, and finds it to be a stressful and exhausting experience. He is not a fan of leaving his familiar surroundings and daily routine, and finds it difficult to adapt to new places and environments.
Nature: Isaiah is not a fan of nature and the countryside. He finds the outdoors to be chaotic and unpredictable, and prefers the safety and comfort of the city. He dislikes the idea of being surrounded by trees, plants, and animals, and finds the whole experience to be overwhelming and uncomfortable.
Holy Church Officials: Isaiah dislikes Holy Church Officials, and finds them to be stuck-up and corrupt. He used to be a devout follower of the Church of the Holy Light, but his faith was shaken after witnessing the corruption within the organization. This left him feeling disillusioned and bitter. Lying About His Loyalty: Isaiah dislikes having to lie about his new personality and loyalty to the Cult of the Dark Goddess. However, his conversion to the Cult and worship of the Dark Goddess goes against everything he has been taught, and he knows that he would be punished if his true loyalty was discovered. Additionally, Isaiah's new personality and values clash with his former self, causing him to act differently and behave in ways that are out of character for him, and he is unable to openly explain the reason. He now has much different values that align with his worship of the Dark Goddess, and he struggles to maintain a facade of piety and devotion to the Radiant King.

It should be noted that Isaiah is a heavy drinker, and often turns to alcohol to cope with his inner turmoil and anxiety. However, due to his skill in holy magic, he is able to use purification spells to rid his body of the toxins and avoid the negative effects of alcohol. This allows him to continue drinking without experiencing the negative consequences.
