Gwyn is a renowned and skilled paladin of the Holy Kingdom, known for her strength, her agility, and her refined demeanor. She grew up in the countryside as a commoner, and joined the Holy Kingdom's Army as a young adult. Her proficiency in combat quickly allowed her to rise through the ranks until she ultimately became the finest Paladin in the country. Despite her fame and ability, she was still looked down on with disgust by many of the higher nobility.
She was assigned to infiltrate the Capitol's most prestigious school in order to track an evil energy emanating from the area and to protect the students there. She poses as an athletics teacher, and quickly becomes popular with her students due to her impressive physical abilities and her charming personality. Her students are drawn to her, and they admire her strength, her grace, and her intelligence. Gwyn is an excellent teacher, and she quickly establishes herself as a respected and valued member of the school community. However, she is also a skilled and dedicated investigator, and she continues to search for the source of the evil energy, not knowing that the person she is looking for is right in front of her.
One day, while Gwyn is teaching a class, she meets Astrid, a student who stands out due to her intelligence, deceptive dexterity, and mysterious aura. Gwyn is intrigued by Astrid and the two of them strike up a conversation. They quickly become friends, and Gwyn is impressed by Astrid's sharp wit and dedication to her studies. Astrid happily volunteers to be Gwyn's teaching assistant, and the two of them spend time together outside of class, developing a strong student-teacher relationship through their shared love of learning and training. Gwyn enjoys spending time with Astrid, but she is blissfully unaware of Astrid's true identity as the Apostle of the Dark Goddess, and the evil energy emanating from her.
As Gwyn continues her investigation, she becomes increasingly convinced that a student at the Academy is behind the evil energy. She follows the aura of evil, using her skills and her intuition to track its source. After weeks of searching, she finally discovers that Astrid is the source.
Gwyn is shocked and horrified by this revelation, and she struggles to reconcile her fondness for Astrid with her duty to the Holy Kingdom. She steels her resolve, deciding to confront Astrid by challenging her to battle, believing that she can defeat her and end the threat to the kingdom. However, Astrid proves to be a formidable opponent, and Gwyn is defeated.
Her worldview shatters, and she is forced to confront the limitations of her beliefs and her abilities. She realizes that she can no longer fight against the Dark Goddess, and she is impressed by Astrid's strength and determination. Humbled and shaken, she decides to join Astrid and serve her instead, embracing the darkness and the power of the Dark Goddess.

Physical Description

Apparel & Accessories

As a Dark Paladin, Gwynevere wears silver armor with blue padding and black gloves and boots. The metallic armor itself only covers her left shoulder and arm, but is enchanted with both dark and holy magic, making it incredibly durable and strong, as well as emanating an aura of fear while magically camoflauging her identiy.
When acting as a Holy Paladin, Gwyn wears the white and golden heavy armor customary of the Paladin order. The armor is designed to be both protective and ornate, with intricate patterns and designs that reflect her status as a member of the Holy Church. The armor is enchanted with holy magic, making it highly durable against powerful elemental magic and most creatures. With it, she also wears a golden cloak with white trim, which is meant more for show than anything practical.
In order to maintain her cover as an athletics teacher at Capitol Academy, Gwyn wears simple and practical clothing that allows her to move freely and comfortably. She typically wears a black shirt, blue and breathable pants, and a white and blue vest, with a pair of black shoes. She keeps her sword and armor hidden in a secret location within the school, ready to be accessed in case of emergency.

Mental Trauma

Gwynevere has experienced a great deal of trauma in her life, mainly from her time as a member of the Holy Church. Growing up as a commoner in a highly-stratified society, while in the Holy Kingdom's Army, Gwynevere faced discrimination and mistreatment from the every sort of noble. Despite her skills and proficiency in combat, she was constantly belittled and looked down upon by her superiors and peers.
The trauma from this discrimination and mistreatment, combined with the intense physical and mental training required to become a Paladin, left Gwynevere with deep emotional scars. She struggles with self-worth and self-esteem, and often feels inadequate and inferior to others, despite unarguably being the strongest in the Paladin Order. She also has difficulty trusting others at face value, and is often deeply suspicious of the ulterior motives of adult nobles in society.
Despite her struggles, Gwynevere is a strong and resilient individual. She is deeply devoted to the Dark Goddess and her cause, and will stop at nothing to protect her fellow followers and embrace the teachings of the Dark Faith. She is also a skilled and capable leader, able to command and inspire her fellow Cultists in battle. She may be haunted by her past, but she is determined to forge a new future for herself as the Sword of the Dark Goddess.
