The Sworn
One of the 5 main factions of the governing bodies of Ixbaezia, the sworn are the warriors of Ixbaezia. They are the hunters who bring home the meat and the defenders of its walls when they are needed. This faction was formed primarily of outlaws and bandits who rove the lands and never truly found a place to call their own until they arrived in Ixbaezia. Those who once had pride in nothing found can finally be a part of something more.
Structure
The Sworn have a simple hierarchy. The leader is known as Chief and is a title granted to the eldest living member of this faction. All others are referred to as the Chief's children. All the children have to do is obey the Chief and their commands, outside of that they are given free reign to act as they please. The children are very loyal to the Chief and try not to do anything that would embarrass him in regards to the other factions.
Religion
Like most of Ixbaezia, they follow Safokang and perform her rite regularly to grant them protection and warmth in the cold desolation. However, they don't treat their prayer like religion, it is closer to a tradition passed down since the founding of the city. They pray to her name, but there are no statues or temple dedicated to their goddess. The people of Ixbaezia have never known anything more about their goddess, she was a name lost to the ages and a face even further gone.
