Agglomeration

In Harmony, We Speak as One Voice

When multiple magi cast the same spell simultaneously, this amplifies the effects of said spell. With each additional castor, the spell grows exponentially stronger at first and then to taper off at around 13 castors. Although there is no definite limit to how many individuals can be involved in an agglomeration, having more than 13 can begin to drain the quintessence around the castors. It is rumored that at a certain point, an agglomeration can cause dead zone-like effects as the quintessence in the area is taken before it can replenish.

Agglomerations are also used to make unique spells by mixing different spells together. While harmonizing spells can increase their power one way, throwing spells into discord can cause them to make something new entirely.
