Session 2: Hubris

General Summary

1. After a day's travel, the party arrived at the Temple of Derdian
2. Two Goblins were guarding the entrance, so Melchiah hatched a devious plan
3. One makeshift explosive idol and a charming Lambda Goblin (heralded by none other than Melchiah Margublyiet herself) and the party blasted their way through to the temple
4. Venturing into the structure, they discovered that this derelict was a church of sorts, where worshipers of Gods falling under allied Derdian faiths would congregate for masses
5. Party managed to gain access to the donation room that remained untouched by the Goblin scourge (unlike the rest of the chapel, that fell victim to desecration of the Goblin scourge
6. Party pocketed donations made and trinkets. Thorin has commited himself to returning them to the Derdian Order.
7. Party noted the massive mural of The Derdian Order showing the various allied deities fighting sworn Derdian enemies. Thorin has also committed to returning this to the Derdian Order.
8. The party soonafter came face to face with a significant amount of Violet Fungi, where in her hubris, Melchiah attempted to take a bite of one of them (presumably to get a better understanding of them)
9. Notwithstanding the party's efforts to slay the fungi, this opening proved to be Melchiah's downfall as tendrils within the fungi exploited her vulnerable moment.
10. For this, Melchiah was slain, her organic matter rotten from within until all that was left was a lifeless husk.
