Altar of the Severn

Two tablets, too heavy to carry. Depictions of an armored winged snake. Man-size claws emerge from the tablets every time we attempt translation and must be halted. Awaiting further orders.

Geography

Atop a tabletop Mesa sits an altar, built long ago, by a species long gone. The altar is made of stone that accents the red rock in a way that, when hit by sunlight, gives those at its peak a full view of Aperture without shadow.

Fauna & Flora

Nothing grows within miles of the Altar, and no life wanders.
Outside of the Altar there are two stone faces, reports vary, though some say they have conversed with them.
