Last Pantheon

The Last Pantheon was the pantheon of gods and goddesses that existed in the Nameless Age that fell due to the wickedness of the mortal soul.

Summary

Before time, there existed the Golden City; a utopia crafted by the gods for their use and enjoyment. There was no sickness, famine, or death - it was heaven. There were nine gods originally: Astora and his wife Carciphona, as well as their seven children:
  • Karlias
  • Cyla
  • Miik
  • Kamelot
  • Ekos
  • Deltonex
  • Aliaex Aomyne
Initially none of them were gods of anything, simply happy to exist in paradise. Aomyne however was somewhat different than her brothers and parents; with an affinity for creation, Aomyne pieced together what would be the first creation of man. When her family saw her creations, fascinated, they joined in. Deltonex made land for them to live on and Kamelot gave them suns with which to see, fire with which to use. Ekos placed water on their world so as they could live and Miik gave them consciousness from which to thrive. Finally, when all was said and done and Aomyne's creations turned out to be mortal, Karlias created a life after death from which Aomyne could know her creations were safe and happy, having lived full lives.   Eventually each god took on different aspects from which they ruled over their sisters creations. Karlias took on the mantle of death, ushering mortal souls into an afterlife he'd crafted for them. Miik become the god of wisdom, encouraging the minds of mortals in the hope of seeing their creation and making his sister happy while Cyla made the air they breathed and the skies they pondered. Kamelot took fire, Ekos the seas, and Deltonex the earth; the mortals knew their gods and were thankful.   Aomyne, the creator of all this life became the goddess of love, her feelings boundless when looking onto her children.   Astora, seeing his children's efforts decided then, after millenia of man walking land that he would invite mortals to live among the gods so as to allow Aomyne to meet the creatures she'd so carefully crafted.   The best of mortal souls were selected and ascended to the Golden City - they walked it's streets, partook of it's boons and life had never been better. However, mortal souls are flawed in ways that gods are not.   The mortal men took one look at Aomyne - a woman with which had no equal, beauty and grace the likes of which they had never seen. They took one look at Aomyne and were corrupted by their greed.   They defiled her.   Where once there was love now existed hatred and vengeance; tearing the sinners limb by limb, Aomyne then turned her anguished gaze to the rest of her creation and bid it gone. She rend her revenge onto the mortals, ripping apart both the worlds of the living and the dead with the help of her siblings, betrayed.   Still, it was not enough and, consumed by her grief, Aomyne destroyed her family and tore the Golden City apart, brick from brick, stone from stone until only the abyss remained.

Variations & Mutation

There are some variants that have Aomyne's brothers trying to save the mortal souls, fighting against Aomyne but ultimately being killed by their sister.   There are also other versions (namely the Yyunafreya Basilicus rendition) that have the mortal souls being entirely male with a focus on the rape of Aomyne with many suggesting this is due to the lack of Dreidas males.
