The Hathardûin (hathar-doo-in)

The network of hospital buildings settled in the upper circle of Morrhion that house the nation's healing schools, medical labs, and treatment rooms for the capital city. The doctors and healers that work here are funded by the aristocracy of the nation in each respective city and are under the authority of the Second Lord of Anruien. In Anruien, there is very little magic and the magic that happens within the kingdom is highly suppressed. This makes healers and medicine very important to society at large, for magical healing is not possible on a large or even a small scale. The hospitals are run by doctors and more studied surgeons. Often, in the beginning of this establishment, doctors or surgeons would come from other regions to teach and instruct the students or makeshift healers. The further along through Anruien's timeline one goes, the hospital and medical schools advance rapidly and become one of the capital city's most important resources. Any Anruien citizen is entitled to treatment in any branch of the Hathardûin in any city. Most of the large-scale educating and treatments are done in Morrhion and Raeon, due to their proximity to the coast and access to other countries.
The Schools of Dûin are the educational wings and section of the hospital network, though the building or complexes comprising the Hathardûin is often also referred to as the Andovirion by locals.

Purpose / Function

This building houses the classrooms, observation rooms, treatment rooms, and lecture halls of the School of Dûin, the medical and healing school of Anruien. Within these walls, citizens of the kingdom can come for treatment, for healing, or for help and will find it.
The Hathardûin is a massive complex on the second level of the city, which is known as Dûineven. The Hathardûin also connects to the First Lord's wing of the palace, seeing as they are the overseer and director for the school and the medical complex.

History

Established in TD 30 by Lord Temeril Averin of Mesoranil, the hospital system started as a network of healers within the founding city of Mesoranil just outside of the Eastern Forest. Eventually, there grew to be an Andovirion in each major city of Anruien though the largest and most well-equipped is stationed in the capital city.
