Tremblsem Stonetouched

Tremblsem Stonetouched (a.k.a. The Weeping Angel)

Tremblsem is a half-gargoyle orphan who was abandoned as a baby by his human mother, who left him on the stairs of an orphanage in the lower class residential area of The Holy City of Abadar. While at the orphanage, Tremblsem was forced to steal items for the orphanage director. At the age of 7, he killed the director after finding out that he was going to be sold as a child slave to a factory in the industrial district. He was then spared from execution by a high ranking member of The Abadarian Episcopate, who took Tremblsem in and taught him both the art of worship and assassination. At the age of 18, Tremblsem left the Episcopate to carve his own path but maintained good relations with the Episcopate. Currently, Tremblsem resides in a bell tower owned by The Abadarian Episcopate in the old district of the city, which is where he keeps his currently small steadily growing stash of gold and items. When Tremblsem is seen, he is generally mistaken as an earth elemental or a Shaitan (and sometimes an Oread).

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Tremblsem was abandoned as a baby by his mother on the steps of an orphanage in the lower class residential area of the city. Throughout his early childhood, Tremblsem was forced to steal a variety of items for the Orphanage Director. At the age of 6, the orphanage director ripped out Tremblsem's wings to make sure that he remembered his place was at the bottom of society. At the age of 7, Tremblsem murdered the orphanage director in his sleep after discovering that he was going to sell Tremblsem off to a factory in the industrial district. Tremblsem was then captured and brought to a prison where he was to stay for 10 days before being executed. On the sixth day, he was visited by a high ranking member of the Abadarian Episcopate, who offered him a second chance. After accepting, Tremblsem was brought to the Grand Temple of the Abadarian Episcopate, where he lived for the next 11 years. During this time, he devoted himself to the Deity Abadar, and learned both a classical education and the art of assassination. At the age of 18, the man who saved Tremblesem from execution and then raised him gave Tremblesem a choice to either join the Episcopate as an official member or make his own way in the world. Tremblesem spent the next 12 years traveling the kingdom in search of his calling. He eventually returned to the Holy City of Abadar, re-establishing a connection with the Episcopate. Shortly after returning, Tremblsem received an invitation to join the Club of Wayward Souls, which allowed him to establish connections within the city as well as a steady supply of work.

Education

Tremblsem received a high level of classical education from The Church of Abadar.

Employment

Tremblsem is a professional assassin who takes his work primarily from two places, the Abadarian Episcopate and the Club of Wayward Souls. The Abadarian Episcopate hires him out directly whereas the Club of Wayward Souls serves as a middleman between Tremblsem and those with job offers.

Accomplishments & Achievements

While he has not killed any major players, his efficiency at completing the jobs he has received is noteworthy.

Mental Trauma

The physical scars on Tremblsem's back have left mental scars as well. Even to this day, Tremblsem has nightmares of his wings getting ripped off.

Intellectual Characteristics

Tremblsem uses his extensive knowledge of humanoids as well as the nobility to do his work on the down low.

Morality & Philosophy

While Tremblsem feels nothing when he kills, he will only kill to the point that order is restored. If someone has not done something to disturb the order, then he will not raise a hand against him or her. Should his target be pregnant or too young to realize what they have done, he will wait until they do something else to disturb the order, otherwise he will leave them alone. Though he is a very orderly individual, his gargoyle blood runs strong and will both loot his targets for all of their valuables as well as steal if the item is enticing enough. It should be mentioned that he hates himself for this.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Tremblsem is motivated both by the Deity he worships as well as his own personal gain. As the Deity he worships is the Deity of wealth, these two motivations rarely collide.   His main goals include regaining his wings and removing the "impurities" from his body.

Likes & Dislikes

Tremblsem has a great appreciation for art. It is unclear if this is caused by his gargoyle half or by other circumstances, but regardless of the reason, Tremblsem is absolutely fascinated by works of art. To him, art is extremely valuable and is to be respected and admired. Tremblsem despises hypocrites as he sees them as some of the scummiest disruptors of order.

Vices & Personality flaws

When Tremblsem sees something extremely valuable in an insecure location, he can't help himself and will use the skills he developed as a child to add that valuable to his collection. He is also constantly fighting against the urges of his gargoyle half, which he considers to be barbaric.

Hygiene

Tremblsem sees his body more like a piece of art than just a body. To this end, his hygiene is meticulous, though because his skin tone is that of marble, it can be difficult to tell.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Tremblsems only meaningful contacts are with the Abadarian Episcopate and the Club of Wayward Souls, though he has a minor relationship with the Hook Poker Syndicate.

Religious Views

Tremblsem is a devout follower of Abadar.

Social Aptitude

While Tremblsem is clearly an outcast who belongs to no specific group, the fact that he is a member of the Club of Wayward Souls gains him a certain amount of respect in select circles.

A half-breed Gargoyle, Tremblsem is an assassin who takes contracts almost exclusively from the Abadarian Episcopate, but is willing to take contracts from almost anyone... for the right price.
