Half-Gargoyle
A gargoyle integrated into civilized society, they look more like earth elemental humans than gargoyles.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Gargoyles often appear to be winged stone statues, for they can perch indefinitely without moving, allowing them to surprise their foes. Half-gargoyles on the other hand have the physical appearance of humanoids, though their stone skin is a dead giveaway that they are something more. While most half-gargoyles have lost their wings with time, some are born with non-functional smaller versions of their ancestors wings.
Ecology and Habitats
Half-gargoyles have come to reside mostly in humanoid and monstrous humanoid settlements, and those who live out in the wilds must band together with others of their kind to avoid annihilation.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The carnivorous appetite of the gargoyle was passed onto half-gargoyles who, while no longer feeding on helpless villagers, still find a need for fresh meat.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Because of their preference for working at night, passed down from their ancestors no doubt, half-gargoyles can see clearly in the dark up to 30 feet.
