Rustward

Infected with the Ruby Plague. The locals had had enough of being experimented and tried to sack the massive castle that sits in the eastern side of the town, and such, they were punished.

Government

this is heavily oppressed by the crown and they tax the shit out of the people to live there to fund their unholy experiments. The town used to be famous for always winning the tournament and also for their lively and bustling taverns, but now, is known for being a slummy cesspool of blood addicts. People are scared to go here due to the rumours of blood beasts roaming the darker corners of this town. Hunters of these beasts are now the only ones who really meet in the old husks of taverns.

Defences

The ruby plague is enough to ward off visitors, unwanted or not. the silver hunters, a group of civilian hunters, have a reputation of lethal efficiency and would dispatch of any invaders of ill intent of their beloved town.

Industry & Trade

woman don't dare to leave home unaided for risk of getting assaulted by the many bandits that roam the streets, but also due to the blood bests. most education is taught from home, with only the "holy" being chosen for having undying faith to the crown to join the church to create the blood. other than that typical jobs include running family businesses in taverns and making the new complex weapons and their ammunition.

Infrastructure

Most of the econamy is run off the taverns and bars, the shy market which is run on Tuesdays, and, of course, the production of new blood.

Assets

Under the churches, 1000's of platinum worth of new blood is stored in rows of barrels. They are one of the main exporters of the stuff.   They also have more advanced weaponry than most places, most of the guards donning lighter cloaks and muskets over plate armour and swords to fend off the ever present blood beasts.    The castle is an asset in itself with it's lavish interior, which no local have actually never been in, as the drawbridge only ever opens  for the wealthy and non-infected. It is said that wealth beyond measure lay behind the walls, but also great beasts that guard it, all craving for your demise.

Guilds and Factions

the silver hunters: a group of local hunters that exist to destroy the ruby plague by killing all of the blood beasts. their sigil being a silver circle with a red feather etched into it. they all don a silver mask and a red feathered musketeer hat. they all dress lightly, with varities of trench coats and capes reinforced with light plates of steel around the vitals, to prevent death blows.

History

the founder was called "Rainer Servilius", a tinkerer of sorts. He made the town because he wanted to build the most technologically advanced town in the angle isles. He started by finding all the tinkerers and mages he could find but only managed in the end to find 3 people willing to follow his cause, but this was enough.  They set to work in the one building coming up with idea after idea and they wrote it all down in a book that has since been forgotten.    Most of the ideas that were ever prototyped however were weapons. Explosivley powered projectile shooters, blades that can slide into a different form id dependance on the wielders needs from it and even thrown explosive bombs.  These inventions caught the attention of the crown at the time and they provided funding for the town's construction if they would give up their ideas, which they did, but the implementation of them in the town never left with them.   After the towns construction Rainer went on to leave it behind in the end. It was a testament to his genus but also of his greed.  With these new weapons ironically were used to overthrow the king in 132 causing the handlers to rule over angle isles.
