Lingonberry

This red berry grows early in autumn and is known for it's distinct taste. Furthermore the plant is said to be especially strong and always carries green leaves; even in winter. The berry is often served along game meat like deer, moose or bear. People in harsher regions especially value this berry as it is one of very few palatable berries growing in the cold.
