Calimtra

The biggest of all Merchant Alliance city states. About 100.000 people live here. Mostly descendants of a human tribe called the Jakaty. They established their city long before the time of trouble, but had been ruled by a terrible Khalif and his family. After the time of trouble the people of Calimtra revolted and killed their king along with his whole family. Ending several centuries of monarchy. Nowadays beside Calimtra’s large human population, several halfling families and some half-elves can be found here. The city itself is welcoming to strangers who abide by it’s law. If you’re lucky you can even catch a darkelven traveling merchant here, as Calimtra was the first official trade partner of Dunkrast, they have a fairly good relationship to the darkelven nation. They openly oppose Lixanthia’s slave markets, although they can do little about it. During the last century Calimtra often had to send support troups to Weatherlast on the west side of Andaria as they have to fight off Lixanthian invaders on a regular basis and several wars were fought between Lixanthia and Ontrith which left a bitter resentment for the other one in both nations.
