Beldam

Silvershield is a matriarchy on which pinnacle stands the Beldam. The Beldam is elected from a pool of noble dwarven families in an official election, after the passing of the previous Beldam. One of the prerequisites is the advanced age of at least 333 years. The elected Beldam takes control over the legislation and appoints various ministers, which each specializes in an explicit topic in dwarven culture over that they rule and offer advise to the Beldam.
