ÖKNIRÖI TRAITS

• Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2 and your Wisdom score increases by 1, but your Intelligence score decreases by 2.
• Age. Young Ökniröi grow quickly. They walk days after birth, and reach adulthood after one year. They live to be around 60.
• Alignment. Ökniröi live in large swarm-like communities with strict hierarchy, thus tending to lawful alignment. They are very rarely evil, mostly tending to neutral alignment.
• Size. Ökniröi are smaller than most humanoid races, but a bit on the chubby side. Your size is Small.
• Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet and you have an burrowing speed of half your walking speed.
• Darkvision. You’re eyes adapted to the dark of the burrows. You can see in dim light within 30 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
• Double-edged fur. You have resistance to cold damage, but gain fire vulnerability. The underlying fur of the Öxniröi grants them them a natural armor of an AC of 13 + Dexterity modifier.
• Cuteness of the Fluff. You know the friendship cantrip, and can cast it without the targeted creature realizing it has been charmed. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the charm person spell. After you have cast this spell you can’t reuse it for the rest of the day.
• Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and communicate in Ökniröi, which mostly consists of various squeaking sounds and the emitting of pheromones.

ÖKNIRÖI SUBRACES

The Ökniröi vary depending on the habitat they indwell; they posses different colours and their behaviour can differ greatly.

HILL ÖKNIRÖI

Hill Ökniröi are the largest ones of their kind. They are bit more feral and agressive. They live in smaller tribe-like communities in larger hill regions. There fur color varies between grey and reddish-brown.
• Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
• Ferocious Claws. The increased strength allows you to use your claws as ferocious unarmed strikes. On hit you deal slashing damage to 1d6 + your Strength modifier.

MOUNTAIN ÖKNIRÖI

The reclusive Mountain Ökniröi live in tall mountains regions. Having adapted to the rough terrain and cold they grew more sturdy, growing white fur.
• Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
• Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

WOOD ÖKNIRÖI

Wood Ökniröis have adapted to green forests and the corresponding thicket. They have adapted with growing brown fur and being a little bit faster than, their hill and mountain cousins.
• Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
• Lickety-split. Your base walking speed increases to 30 feet.
