"This is a matter for Gods to discuss, not mere men."Staderius, known by his enemies and 'The Divider', started his reign with conflict. He was crowned in 5506 by High Sekant Viziim and enjoyed 4 years of fairly peaceful rule before the Burendor of his father, Yarri I declared his intentions to be king. Many factors went into the decisions to support or fight against Staderius, perhaps most importantly was that he had no sons which meant the crown would go to his nephew, Arterius Thurin. His nephew was and is set to inherit the throne of Bard's Kingdom which many feared would leave the East as a puppet to the Bard King. Staderius fought the War of Restoration and led his side to victory. He took on Lyndon Albret as his new Burendor and has since spent his time trying to bring together the realms peacefully. Staderius is a skilled tactician and fighter, but has more interest in religion and prayer. He was trained and taught in many arts by Yarri, who betrayed him. This left Staderius with a strong mistrust of close advisors who may have claim on his title. He felt the Elvish descendants should stop being such a big part of Human society, a message that resonated with many in the East. This sparked a civil war in Eastern Primor and for 3 years Staderius led the losing side against the ‘Restorators’, mainly made up of the Lakelands. Staderius fought at several battles, his most successful being the battle of the Flame, where he led an assault to take the castle on the first day of the siege and lost very few men and captured several important lords. The country was still divided but eventually Staderius’ master of legation arranged for the corsairs to join the royal forces and help win the war. Also Lord Lyndon Albret switched sides and took the Midlands for the king. Yarri II was handed over by house Guidel in return for an agreement that the Lakelands would be allowed to continue without sanctions or executions. Staderius ordered Yarri II to be executed and his baby son to be found and brought before Staderius to swear allegiance, when he was old enough. However some of Yarri II’s closest followers had managed to get the boy away and headed East, believed to be in Pelega possibly. Staderius was apparently furious that there was a potential challenger to the throne out there. In Recent years Staderius has kept to the Clifftops due to ill health and age catching up with him. In his youth he was known for being the first to battle and always being on the go, now the opposite. Opponents stir, ready to attempt to rid Primor of house Thurin once and for all.
