True Humans - The Myth

Summary

Long, long ago, true humans lived on Ancora. They had a unique brand of magic.
Unfortunately, they bred themselves out of existence. In doing so, they created many of Ancora's other species.

Historical Basis

It is true! However, not all humans could use magic. It is also possible that their extinction as a species was not entirely due to their proclivity for pairing outside their own species.

Spread

It is a worldwide myth. Everyone knows about true humans, but they are not mentioned often. Not everyone thinks they really existed.

Variations & Mutation

Some think that the true humans' magic was more powerful than even the dragon gods. Perhaps it could even kill them.

Some think that true humans created the world. (Others would argue that the dragon gods did.)

Some think that the true humans had very little magic, and their real magic laid in spreading their seed.

Some think that the true humans were incredibly stupid and would mate with anything. They did, after all, breed themselves out of existence.

Cultural Reception

To the species that are human-related (merpeople, fauns), the myth is more important. It is often used as a warning to prevent people from pairing outside of their species.
To the other species (dragon gods, sprites), it is just a story that may or may not be true.
