Aen Creates the Dragon Gods - Myth

Before all else was the god Aen. They (for neither male nor female can be applied to such an all-encompassing existence) created the sky, the sea, the land, and all of the plants and animals upon it. But, after a time, Aen grew lonely. To help alleviate this problem, they created the first sentient creatures - humans. The god now had someone to talk to. Over time, however, the humans' short life spans only served to make Aen more lonely and they were filled with grief.   What Aen really needed was the ability to produce more immortals, but this was beyond their grasp. Instead, Aen tore themselves into six distinct pieces. Each of these pieces grew into what we now know as the dragon gods: Paden, Mivan, Anian, Nawan, Tisien, and Lassan. They are the Six. They shall live forever, wielding the powers of the god Aen.   The Six are to be served unreservedly, for they each hold a piece of the god's power. Without them, without Aen, Ancora would not exist.
