Light Armor Padded - Padded armor is made of heavily quilted layers of cloth and batting. Leather Armor - The breastplate and shoulder protectors of this armor are made of leather that has been stiffened by boiling in oil. The rest of the armor is made of softer and more flexible materials.
Medium Armor Hide - This crude armor consists of thick furs and pelts. Commonly used by the more barbaric tribes of Celt origin. Scale Mail - This armor consists of a coat and leggings or skirt of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. This suit includes gauntlets. Commonly used by Scythians and Greek Cavalry. Breastplate - This armor consists of a fitted metal chest piece worn with supple leather and bronze helmet. Although it leaves the legs and arms relatively unprotected, the armor provides good protection for the wearer’s vital organs while leaving the wearer relatively unemcumbered. This is the commonly worn armor of the Greek infantry, such as the hoplite.
Heavy Armor Half Plate - Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer’s body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves attached with leather straps. Generally only worn by the wealthiest of Greek warriors. Chain Mail - Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
Shields Aspis(Hoplon) - Wooden round shield rimmed with bronze. The standard shield of the Hoplite.
Pelte - Small shield strapped to a the arm, still allowing use of a two-handed weapon. The AC bonus of the pelte only applies to melee attacks made against the user, not ranged attacks.
