Personal history
Anyon Cadogan was born to a wealthy noble family. He was the eldest child, but he was never very interested in ruling and was instead quite bookish. He was fascinated with stories and a devout follower of the faith, even as a child.
After his father's death he became the Baron Cadogan, but left most of the work to his younger sister, Katelyn. Instead of focusing on ruling, he pursued his passion and started writing. At first he wrote short essays and papers on history, but soon he moved onto larger projects. He completed his life's work, The Settling of Ancaepya, when he was 47 years old.
In his later years he abandoned his holdings altogether and moved to Baymore to teach at the university there, even though he never attended any university. He never married, and so lived alone, teaching until his death in 4558 AD.

Education
He received all of his education from tutors hired by his father, and later learned a lot studying on his own. Even before moving to Baymore he had amassed quite an impressive library, most of which is still kept at Castle Cadogan.
Accomplishments & Achievements
His greatest achievement was writing the three volume early history of Ancaepya, titled The Settling of Ancaepya. It is considered by many to be the greatest historical work of all time and its critics are few and far in between.
The books have been officially endorsed by the Draconic Church, which is not surprising since the work reflects much of their beliefs. Cadogan was a devout believer, and his work is protected by the Church vehemently. Any time a particularly vocal critic pops up they are quickly "convinced" of their error in criticizing the Settling.
