Personal history
Before the gate Raven Wars there was pace, the lands lush full of mostly Elves but the occasional Human or Dwarf. The mage Wilferd as he was known studied long and hard throughout the university of magic he eventually graduated, and continued his life becoming a well known mage. Wilferd the Town Mage is what he was called, the people in the land surrounding Wilferd’s location really never respected him, mostly because he was Human. This racism cased Wilferd a grate hate for Elves, some believe this is one of the main reasons he created the ritual. Wilferd was determined to prove himself as the greatest mage there ever was, so he started working on a way to almost ascend into a sort of higher magical bean so that he could cast most powerful spells, as some of you know as a moral creature you cannot cast a spell stronger than 9th level without a sacrifice or certain other means, so Wilferd started his plot to be able to cast incredibly powerful spells without needing extra materials. Eventually Wilferd gathered the required knowledge and minerals and begin the ritual, this is where scholars are not so sertan to what happened next, but the thing that we are certain about is that after the ritual he turned into some kind of psychopathic demon like creature, and so the grate Raven Wars started.
