Anathema

Home to conflict after conflict through the centuries, Anathema is hardly war-torn; with decades having past since the last major war, kingdoms have come to be world powers, cities have become metropolises, and civilization itself seems to have improved beyond the average life of drudgery to looking toward the future. The common man could look at the state of the world and rest easy knowing things are better.   The noble man, however, knows things are far, far darker than they seem.   The political climate between the kingdoms of Chantille, the largest continent on Anathema, and the sovereign Lacuna Caliph family whose dominion covers the entire Khandoor continent, is thick with tension. Resources are stretched thin on Khandoor, even for the ruling class, while Chantillians - even commoners - live in relative luxury.   A local Chantille rebellion, Khandoori spies, lavish galas, a clairvoyant kept secretly in an isolated monastery for twenty-six years - the tables could certainly turn, one way or the other.
