Ripe, Lord Executioner of Yndaros

Close to three metres tall, the giant Lord Executioner known as Ripe arrived in Yndaros in year 11. After several ill-fated attempts by the watch and Pansars to halt his progress, the apparently blind giant presented himself to Queen Korinthia before declaring his fealty. He has served as the royal executioner ever since, showing no signs of weariness or age and apparently indefatigable in his duties.
His flat, hairless features and pale skin have become synoymous with law and order in the city, but crimes are punishable by incarceration or the lash. Only once in a great while is a truly awful villain captured alive. When this occurs they are given a simple choice - public execution on Triumph Plaza or face the Lord Executioner in the Dome on the understanding that should they best him, then they go free.
Several have made the attempt during Ripe's years of service.
He still serves, and nobody remembers the dead.
