Elaera

The Kingdom of Elaera is located in the South Central region of Amatta. It is a vast and fertile land split in the middle by the great Emsrich River. Elaera is roughly about the same size as Bruvia but has only a fourth of the population. Elaera is largely rolling plains and fertile river basins, and as such is considered the breadbasket of Amatta. The Elaeran are quite proud of their heritage, and that they were not given a nice cushy start but had to build their nation from the ground up. The majority of dry goods in Amatta are produced in Elaera and greatly sought after for their quality. Elaera also contains the only safe overland crossing point from the east and western sides of Amatta. One would think that with superior technology and numbers, the Bruvian would quickly overwhelm and conquer the Elaeran, but they have two important advantages. Firstly, they are not despised by the High Elves, and so can trade quite lucratively with their realm and can benefit from their magical devices and mystical scholarship. Secondly, Bruvia is dependent on Elaera for three out of four parts of the food that it consumes. There have, of course, been countless wars between the two countries, but there has been de facto peace between the two nations for some seventy years.
