Amath is a fantasy world inspired mainly by the various conflicts and wars that took place in medieval Europe in the middle ages.   The continent of Amath is dominated by the vast Thuvarian Empire, a powerful behemoth of a nation inspired by the historical Holy Roman Empire. Not all land on the continent is in imperial hands however, as four kingdoms seceded from the Empire and formed the Kingdom of Lours, based on medieval France. Off the coast of North-Western Amath is the isle of Penely, home of the Elves. It has been conquered and liberated many times over its period with the power and social standing of the Elves waxing and waning in turn.   There is magic in Amath, but it is a very rare phenomenon. Great beasts stalk the lands, terrorizing villagers while hunted by a famed guild of monster slayers. Shadowy cults hide in the darkness, plotting to to overthrow the ruling class and plunge the realm into darkness and strife.
