Ueyat (WAY - uht)

The largest city in Amarynth and a sprawling urban metropolis, Ueyat is the true seat of power and the home of inventors, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. It is one of the younger cities on the subcontinent, and has achieved it's great power and wealth primarily through the discovery and monopolization of the rare resource of Eamium, a crystal possessing great arcane power, who's only known deposit is found deep beneath the ocean near Ueyat.
Discovered only two centuries ago by arcanists from Koroko, Eamium's discovery lead to the creation of the great Deepships- massive submarines originally created to more easily access Eamium. Since the first rudimentary Deepships were first built, the refinement process for Eamium has exponentially improved. While this more refined Eamium is in recent years yielding wild and fantastical arcane and technological discoveries, the most notable affect has been the exponential increase in size of the famed Ueyan Deepships.
