Restaurant 3} Nova and Lucy

Nova skipped in to the restaurant basically and just kept a polite smile
“Haha If I didn’t know any better i would have thought this was a date~”
she remarked flirtatiously but then gave her a friendly laugh and she looked around a bit
“I haven’t eaten out in a very long time, it’s kind of exciting”

Lucy rolled her eyes, "yeah well you know better," she walked over and sat down in a booth, "please sit across from me," she took her bag off and set it beside her "I'll feel awkward if your next to me"

she got a derpy smile and just shrugged
“Aw~ no need to be worried that I’ll get handsy~”
she was just teasing and sat across from her, once again moving some hair out of her face, her bangs seem to block out her eyes most of the time so it’s hard to read her

She set a menu in front of her and grabbed one for herself. She stuck her face in it "you do get handsy Nova" she groaned looking through the stuff on the menu. They serve monster here, she stared at the menu for a second before slamming it down. She sat back and crossed her arms.

she lifted an eyebrow, her smile not braking and she looked a bit startled by her slamming it down “I only get handsy when I’m tempted, plus, I don’t touch employees, well... future employee in this case, but I won’t touch you, no worries <3”
she kept this flirty and confident tone, her baby blue eyes fixated on her

She rolled her eyes and sighed "I know what I want to drink I'll figure out what I want to eat in a bit." She scratched her legs "and I guess I'll rest easy then, and so will you becuase if you touch me I'll beat your ass," she seemed agitated in a different way than normal.

“Pft, you’d beat up your boss? That’s ballsy, I appreciate that”
she gave her nose a small boop and leaned back in her chair
“I’ll have whatever chef recommends and lemonade”

Lucy groaned and leaned back. "I got a pair of balls bigger than the empire state, well old one, so" she shrugged and groaned "that fell through," the waiter came over and Lucy looked at her "apple juice please"

she snorted and just started giggling, finding her comment amusing, when the waiter came she told her order and then leaned against the table and put her hands under her chin, her whole body language made it very clear she thought very highly of herself
“I bet you got huge ass balls Lucy, keep that talk for the bedroom though haha”

Lucy covered her face and the waiter blushed, "I um what do you want to drink ma'am" lucy wanted to bury herself in a pile of trash and hide forever.

she just started laughing and a small snort erupted from her
“I’m sorry sir, I didn’t mean to make this embarrassing, but illl have a Lemonade and she’ll have an apple juice as she said”
she gave him a polite smile and just apologetically laughed
“I’m sorry Lucy, you kind of just ran into that one though”

The waiter nodded and walked off. "Yeah whatever Nova, you could have waited," she sat back and looked at the ceiling "if you just wanted to invite me to a job, which I accepted, why did you still want to do something afterward. I accepted your offer what'd the point?

she narrowed her eyes and smirked
“What? Can’t I want to get close to you?”
she crossed her legs and tilted her head as her head rested on her palm

"I dont know why you'd want to, your loids friend not mine, I see why you'd want me as an employee but not as a friend." She looked at Nova crossing her arms again. "I don't like friends"

“Too bad, I’m determined to make you my friend”
she said blankly, she sounded determined as hell

"Not gonna happen, especially now, that your my boss" she sat back. The waiter came back quickly setting their drinks down, "you both ready to order" he asked. Lucy sighed "um, spaghetti If you have it." The waiter nodded and wrote it down then looked at Nova.

“Whatever the chef recommends sir”
she said quickly

“... my employees are like family to me, I’m gonna be your friend, I’m very persistent, I’ll crack that little ice cold shield of yours somehow”
she looked very determined, the look in her eye showed that she was very determined honestly When she wanted something, she would fight for it until she got it

The waiter nodded and walked off. Lucy shook her head and got her book out. "Good luck Nova, you're gonna fucking need it," she opened her book and started to read, taking a drink of her juice.

she just grinned and shook her head
“I don’t understand what your problem is with me, but I will figure it out”

She sighed and looked up from her book "I don't usually enjoy company at all, and I really dont enjoy the company of loud people. So it's not just you Nova it's most everyone," she started to read again after she was done

“Alright, if I can’t make you my friend, then I’ll at least make it so I’m the person you can trust most from everyone”
she had this cheeky smile, why wasn’t she giving up?

"That is and will always been loid" she rolled her eyes "ya know the guy who introduced us in the first place"

“True, but his cute little face doesn’t have to be the only person that you trusts”

"And is it so bad if I want him to be the only person I trust," Lucy shook her head "you need love and friendship I need peice and quiet"

“No amount of talk will stop me though, I’m determined”

"Why cant you just be friends with the rest of the planet and leave me to myself, there is no reason why you should like me, I'm not your type of friend"

she just shrugged
“Whatever you think”
she was in no way swayed by whatever she said and then looked around, waiting for the food

She rolled her eyes and kept reading, until the waiter came back and set two plates of food down, "spaghetti and the chef recommends the chicken pot pie" he nodded before walking away. Lucy set her book back in her bag

Nova silently just nodded to the waiter as a thank you and started to eat, just smiling to her self, as if she found something amusing about this

Lucy started to eat as well, she was still trying to wrap his head around Nova. This made no fucking sense.

Nova was confusing and unpredictable to people at first but after a while she is easy to read if you know what to look for
Nova Just kept eating, this felt unnatural but she was taught to be polite while eating, even if any other time she wasn’t

Lucy dropped her fork and looked over at Nova. She wanted to say something becuase Nova had shut up but she also didnt want to say somthing because Nova shut up. "What you have a switch that I flicked off or somthing"

she just looked up and shrugged, finishing up eating before she spoke, she wiped her mouth and just said sweetly
“Nope, just a habit, I can’t speak while I’m eating, force of habit I guess”
she said it calmly and just folded her arms as she looked at her with her confusing eyes

"Ah" Lucy picked her fork back up and started eating the spaghetti again. She left her alone deciding to not question it anymore. She finished her spagetti and wiped her face off with her napkin.

Nova glanced at the window and could see it started to rain a little. Her expression was frozen, suddenly impossible to read her mood as she looked out
“Say, you don’t think it’ll thunderstorm today right?”
she tapped her foot on the ground, her adhd acting up

"Um, no I dont think it will why?" Lucy asked

“No reason, it just seems like it started raining, but as long as there isn’t any thunder I think we’ll be okey haha. I’m going to call us a Cab if that’s okey with you”

"Yeah that's fine with me," she took her wallet out and and looked around "he should be around for the check soon,"

she pulled her wallet out and pulled out about double what their meal is worth, Sheesh, she was really not good at spending money wisely was she? Geez
“I’ll be paying, just call us the cab and I’ll get everything else handled”

Lucy put her wallet away and got out her phone. She called a cab to the restaurant as the waiter came back over and set the bill on the table.

Nova payed for the meal and then looked out at the window, seeing how heavy the rain started to get she started to look a bit worried

Lucy grabbed her bag and got up "I'll wait for you at the door"

“Okey, I’ll be right with you, I just have to use the bathroom”
she grabbed her things and went to the restroom, her arm clutching the strap of her bag as she closed her self in the stall and took a deep breath but she froze when she heard a loud thunderous sound from the gray clouds but it made her weak at the knees and the second another one was heard she lost straight in her knees and she fell to the floor
She clutched the cloth on her chest and tried to take steady breaths and with shaking hands she grabbed headphones and struggled to aim them in to her ear, shaking too violently, she had to get her self out of this state of mind she was getting into, she started mumbling to her self
“Take deep breaths, it’s just thunder, you’re okey”
and she repeated to her self a few times as she turned on loud music in her headphones that muffled out the thunderous sounds of lightning, hear breathing getting more steady as she just sat on the closed toilet trying to calm her self, not here and not now, she wasn’t going to let her self loose her cool, but why was it so hard? This overwhelming feeling made her feel somewhat sick to the stomach. She did her best not to hug her knees and get too absorbed into her own head and concentrated on the music instead, soon she exhaled and she was calming down, this all took her about 17 minutes until she finally walked out of the bathroom, she looked disconnected from the world and really sweaty and like... maybe she was crying? Huh...
But without a word she just smiled at Lucy and looked at the cab that arrived a few minutes before she got out and just politely went outside in to the rain and ran to the cab
Getting inside as quickly as possible

Lucy stood by the door for a while shifting back and forth on her feet. She was tempted to go see if Nova was alright, but she didn't. She got an umbrella out of her back as the rain came down, not gonna get out in that. She saw Nova and was about to say something but before she could Nova was out the door. Lucy followed her and got in the cab beside her, she took the umbrella down, shut the cab door, and buckled up. "you okay?" she asked Nova noticing that she didn't look like herself.

her palms were sweaty and she just showed the location they needed to go to the driver on her phone, refusing to speak. The music in her headphones was too loud and was blasting out of her headphones so loudly you could even hear it
How the hell is she not deaf.
It sounded like rock music for the most part and she looked a bit shaken up but the driver didn’t seem to care much and just nodded and waited for Lucy to tell her location
She didn’t answer Lucy cause she couldn’t hear her, she just seemed completely out of it, like she was ready to just vanish
She felt on edge and high alert, it almost felt like she was being hunted or something, but she wasn’t

Lucy could tell that something big was wrong, it wasn't hard to since Nova was compleatly different then herself. Lucy looked at the cab driver and sighed "same place as her just drive please," She leaned back in her seat and looked at Nova again, she was concerned but she didn't really know why. She didn't even like Nova, she was annoying, abrasive, and in a lot of cases made her uncomfortable, but here she was in a taxi, worried about her.

she didn’t look out of the window, just stared at her hands as the cab started to drive towards the mansion.
She looked pale and was silent, even her breathing felt quieter, as if afraid that anything she does will get her slapped or something.
It took a while for her to get to the mansion cause it was in the middle of bull fucky nowhere with a huge yard and small houses all around it
Making the mansion a center piece, when they arrived Nova got out of the car and got ready to run inside so she doesn’t get wet, but then she noticed Lucy was getting out and she looked beyond confused
