Bar 3} Helkei and Artyro

Helkei played by Kiwi, Artyro played by Marcy
Helkei was sitting at the bar keeping her fins open for any important conversation. She'd gotten herself a water but wasn't really much of a drinker so that's probobly all she'd have tonight. The chatter of the bar was to her dismay uninteresting. She sighed quietly and took a drink of her water.
Muttering would start to come from the right of Helkei. It was muttering of a fellow violet blood with a very noticeable dueling sword on her side. She would be looking through a note book with many scribbles and seemed to be scouring it end to end, trying to find something of use. She would eventually stop to take a shot and would place the empty glass down next to two others. She then would get back to work.[/container]
Helkeis eyes slowly panned over to the person in the same caste as her. She watched her for a second and hummed. She saw the sword and she was interested immediately. "\excuse me?/" she spoke.
"Hmm? Are you talking to me?" The violet blood would look up from the journal and would promptly close it. She then would grab her last shot and nurse it in her hands, debating on drinking it or not.[/container]
Helkei looked her over quickly studying her movements "\sorry I couldn't help but notice your sword/" she tapped her fingers on the table gently "\it is a very lovely blade, are you a fighter?/"
"Oh thank you. I am a fighter, more of a body guard but I do a bunch of dueling in my free time. People love running their mouths, I just ask them to back it up with steel." Artyro would put down the shot and would take out her weapon. She would balance it in both hands before offering the fellow violet the handle. "You can hold it if you like." A nice smile, rare but anyone who said nice things about her blade were always good people in her eyes.[/container]
Helkei's eyes lit up as she watched her. She gently took the blade from Artyro and studied it. "\a body guard is a very respectable job./" Helkei looked at her and smiled. "\Very lovely blade indeed/" she handed it back to her before taking her own weapons out. She held up to handheld knifes in her right and left hands. "\I quite enjoy fist fights but when a fight with weapons is brought about I choose these/"
Artyro would grab the blade very gently and then would put it into her sheath quite quickly. She then would study the daggers in Helkei's hands and would give a whistle to them. "Those are some beautifully weapons. Wonderful work on them and I'm assuming you use them amazingly... What do you do?"[/container]
She put them away and set her hands on her lap. "\I am a pit fighter at The Vandals Carnival. I go there when I feel like I need a good fight the owner of the place runs a good show she is a very respectable woman/" she took another drink of her water.
"Oh... I was offered to fight there very recently. My client wants me to bring a human there... A human who killed my client's matesprite. A violet blood, mind you... And I thought humans couldn't fight." She would chuckle at that last comment but there was a huge amount of under lying anger. She wanted to kill that Bastard.[/container]
"\oh my, revenge I see I understand revenge greatly. And I've never seen a human fighter before./ she hummed and leaned on the bar. "\if you like a fight you'll like it there, so good luck to you...and I'd love to see your skills, you seem like a talented fighter/"
"It's strange because humans are know for even bringing a gun or running screaming... The thing is, the bastard used a shortsword. He fought them sword to sword and won... The client's matesprite was know for her fighting abilty, she was even known at the Vandals Carnival. So, this human is unnaturally skilled... Have you seen a 5,7 brown hair hoodie guy with glasses?" Artryo would ask this with great interest and slamming a shot right after it.   "Oh... Thank you..." She would blush a light shade of Violet at the compliment.[/container]
Helkei's fins flitted "\if I saw a human who could fight I would surely remember, I'm sorry I cant give you any help at the current moment I will make sure to keep my eyes open./" she thought for a moment "\I've gotten my revenge so I am not the busiest at the moment. I'll do what I can to assist you. Do you know this humans name?/"
“He is known as Jarv Thrend. And if you see him, attempt to grab him but don’t hurt him. Thats my job. I’ll pay you very well for it.” Artyro was glad to have help with this, she wanted this guy dead and it was helpful to get people searching for him. This human may of killed her client… and beat her… but he won’t do it again.   “Thank you though.” She liked this fellow fighter, she and her… ahem… vibed on the same level. They got what the other said and the other, understood revenge.[/container]
She nodded "of course I will leave it up to you to do the honours. And there is no need to pay me, I respect your cause and wish to help and of course you are welcome./ Helkei gave Artyo another smile. These were rare for her normally her dragon like behavior kept her stone faced but she quite enjoyed the company of this fellow fighter. She finished of her glass of water with one last sip.
That response would give Artyro a very big smile, showing off all of her shark like teeth. She was actually surprised about that, most people just worry about money but it was nice to see someone who didn’t.It would cause her another small blush.   “Oh, thank you! That’s very kind of you… we haven’t introduced each other yet. My name is Artyro Crayum, its nice to meet you.” She would put out her hand for the other to shake.[/container]
Helkei took her hand and gave it a firm shake. Her palms were rough from lots of fighting. "\Helkei Ustefe, it is wonderful to be acquainted with you formally. /" Hekei was enjoying this exchange a lot. It was very unexpected for her to meet someone of her caliber while she was out tonight.
Artyro hands would be equally rough and would return the handshake with the exact same firmness. Artyro was also enjoying the exchange as well, it was nice to speak to someone who was a duelist like herself. And someone with very nice blades, it was amazing. "Same here. You don't seem the drinking type though, why have you crawled into this nice corner of booze and bad smelling people?"[/container]
Helkei chuckled softly as she let Artyro's hand fall from her grip. She took a quick scan of the bar. "\you are correct in your assumption that I do not in fact drink ᴵ ᶠᶦⁿᵈ ᵗʰᵃᵗ ᶦᵗ ᵗʰʳᵒʷˢ ᵐᵉ ᵒᶠᶠ ᵒᶠ ᵐʸ ᵗʳᵘᵉ ᶠᶦᵍʰᵗᶦⁿᵍ ˢᵏᶦˡˡˢ./" her voice seemed to get a little quieter and almost sounded like she was inquiring of something towards the middle of her sentence. "\However the best secrets are often shared at little places like this ᵃⁿᵈ ˢᵉᶜʳᵉᵗˢ ᵃʳᵉ ᵗʰᶦⁿᵍˢ ᴵ ᵉⁿʲᵒʸ ᵃ ˡᵒᵗ/ Again her voice did the same thing. She was feeling a lot more relaxed and comfortable then she was initially entering the bar.
“I find drinking helps me focus when I’m looking through clues. But I do agree with you, it does mess up my fighting ability.” She would be interested in the way Helkei spoke… changing her volume.   “Ah… you are right on that. The shadier the place, the better the secrets.” She would agree on that, she then would tap her fingers on the bar in a nice little rhythm. She then would down the last shot.[/container]
"\to each their own of course/" She hummed and noticed Artyro's notebook. She pointed a finger to it, "\Does that pertain to your search for this dishonorable human.?" She was a curious troll and now being able to ask questions she took her chance"
"Yes, its any sighting I have of him. Trying to figure out where he's going." She would sigh, Jarv would be her white whale. She would eventually find him and then would make sure that it wouldn't end like Moby dick. She would kill him. "He seems to be moving randomly."[/container]
Helkei pursed her lips and she scratched at the table. "ʰᵐᵐᵐ, Do you think that this human knows you are after him or is this just his normal lifestyle?/" She inquired doing her best to assist her new acquaintance.
"He knows I'm after him. He killed a violet blood, of course he knows someone wants him dead." Artyro would sigh, why didn't the human just come out and face her. Make her job a hell of a lot easier. "But all I can do is hunt him down and then eventually kill him. But it will take a while, thats for sure."[/container]
Helkei nodded "\do you know why he killed this troll?/" she asked again curiously. She was now invested and curious in this whole endeavor. A human killing a highblood was an interesting thing indeed and Helkei's obsession with honor helped her understand the cause more than most would.
"The reason seems to be that the matesprite stabbed Jarv's brother and Jarv ran into save his brother. The brother is a useless source of info, seeming to be the type more interested in dropping beats and getting drunk." Artyro would shake her head... That was a hard conversation and all she got from the guy was that his brother was still in the city.   "So its justified I guess, client still wants him dead."[/container]
Helkei looked for a moment and pursed her lips. She moved her head to look in front of her and debated to moral ambiguity of that in her head for a second. "\well a wound doesn't warrant death exactly. I'm not sure if I agree completely on this situation anymore however I will still help./" She hummed "\for my actions are not always the most justified but I still take them/"
"Well they both fought to kill each other. The human just did it first." Artyro just wanted the guy dead because he bested her, but she wasn't going to say that. She respected him though for protecting his brother however, it was a noble cause... even if she still wanted him dead. "No one's actions truely are."[/container]
She sighed and shrugged. "\yes I suppose you are correct...would you mind if I gave you my trollhandle?/" Helkei looked at her and asked.
"Only if I could give you mine in return." She said that very smoothly. It wasn't often when she found a fighter like herself.[/container]
Helkei chuckled softly and nodded happily. She grabbed a napkin and pulled a pen out of her satchel bag. she wrote down "obstinateWyvern" On the napkin and held it out to Artyro. "\here is mine/"
"unruffledDuelist." She would write on another bar napkin and would hand her the napkin as she pocketed Helkei's napkin. "As much as I love to stay and chat, I sadly have to go. This was... very pleasant." That statement would be followed with a blush and a big smile.[/container]
Helkei nodded at her, "\I will be sure to contact you soon, this was indeed plesent thank you for speaking to me./" She put the napkin in her satchel. Artyro's smile was met with her own. This was a great night for her and she would not soon forget her new fighter friend.
Artyro would give her a last nod and then would leave a couple of caegars on the bar and would be gone in a instant. Searching for her white whale.[/container]
