Coluhmus

This city was built on the middle of the desert. It is susciptible to earth's and sun's cruelty. But they found a way to prosper even in this conditions. There is a spring at the mountain high named "Sand's Drop" that fills Coluhmus with the possibility of life. Also, because of the lack of food, they needed to find someway to feed its population. They found out that: at the center of the desert where Coluhmus was built, there is a migration path of birds, many birds. So, they started to build the constructions of the city like pillars to be more easy to catch those birds and have a source of food. Thats why this town is also called by "The Pillars City". But, besides the luck to found all of that, they still suffer with the scar of Resma: this great desert. It harbos many creatures and things that we can not imagine.

Demographics

There is no majority of races here. Coluhmus is a real open city, anyone can enters, so the population that lives here is really mixed. But, races like Tieflings and some Dragonborns are more fortune here becouse of their resistence against the heat.

Government

This city has no government. They lives in a kind of anarchy. All of the citizens understand that the enimie is the desert, so they keep together against it. But, also, the city has a group of elders that give advices and they are very respected by everyone.

Defences

They have a great stone wall around the city. The stories tell that great wizards of the desert built it, because no humans could do that without magic. Also, Coluhmus has an army of good warriors and wizards to defence their home, but the desert it self is the greatest defence that they could have.

Industry & Trade

The city has the ores that they extract from the desert rocks and it is very required by neighboring civilizations, because this ores are stronger than most others around Alveus. Also, with the Haroelium Arena, they "product" many champions, really good fighters, and sell those who wants to anothers citys to fight in their armys. And the forgery of this city is quite riquered, mainly by Monshara and Regniem.

Infrastructure

What is most known of Coluhmus is the great arena of Haroelium. Besides, there is many forges at this city because it has many metal sources to extract. So, the people take advantage to study and practice the art of forge.

History

Coluhmus is a great city that has been thriving even with the voracity of Resma's Desert. But it was not always that way. After the criation of the desert at the final of third age, many people that already lived here started to join in nomad tribes to survive. Some of this tribes exist until now, but most of them perished in the history. One of this tribes started to create a big hole on the ground to make a jail for the monsters that they capture. They dug and dug until they finished that "jail". So, after that, they started to put the desert creatures they found and started to use their prisioners and slaves to fight against those monsters. This event was known as "The Earth Fury", because none of the "champions" survived, that time. But, many tribes started to come here by the stories that they heard, and started to create a flow of people and sources, because they brought with them all that the tribes got on the desert. This started to form Coluhmus.

Architecture

The Coluhmus buildings are made with red stones, more malleable that normal rocks, from the desert, and all of this estructures in the form of pillars.

Natural Resources

They have a great source of ores from the Desert, and this ores are better than most of the others of Alveus.
