Zalídēs (zalaɪdɪs)
Properties
Material Characteristics
Zalídēs is a dark goldish metal, it's fairly soft to the point a strong human male could leave an impression on a bar. Naturally, it has a porous surface like lava rock, although due to its softness it doesn't have any sharp edges.
Physical & Chemical Properties
While it is easier to enchant than most other metals, Zalídēs is ultimately a rather mundane material beyond its rareness.
Geology & Geography
The metal can be found across the entirety of Altûŕ, with the biggest deposits typically found on asteroids and comets, albeit in still very small deposits.
History & Usage
Everyday use
Due to its incredible rarity and subtle beauty, it is often used in the making of jewellery or enchanted amulets.
Cultural Significance and Usage
As the only beings capable of amassing large amounts of the metal, the Theoi use Zalídēs for the Pantheon's currency, the Ðmētep.
