Saphrina's Palace

Saphrina's Palace is a ruin in the Ynthal mountains, and is said to have been home to the legendary Sorceress Saphrina, who lived thousands of years ago, and disappeared mysteriously at the height of her power. No one knows what really happened to her, but it is said that remnants of her magic still lay within the walls of the Palace and for that reason Saphrina's Palace has become a place of pilgrimage for many young Sorcerer's and who wish to learn the secrets behind her power.
Placed far above sea level in the Ynthal Mountains nature has long ago claimed the Palace for it's own, and one will find vines climbing through the large cathedral windows, and rubble where there once were ballrooms, libraries and bedrooms. Many have questioned why the Sorcerer's Guild has let the legendary Palace fall to such a state, but the reason, which is understood by few outside the Guild, lies in the Guild's fundamental belief that we must all return to nature when we die and a place of magic such of Saphrina's Palace is no different. Just like us it has had it's greatness and now must reunite with nature. Another eason that has been laid forth by some is, that the Palace seeks to remind ud of the fleeting nature of power and how no age, no matter how great and golden, can last until eternity. We are all a piece in the world's eternal cycle.
