The Underworld

The Underworld:
A dark, hellscape plain, littered with rock, lava, fire and brimstone. A once peaceful and quiet realm. A place some used to consider as an afterlife, where the soul went to enjoy passionate and beautiful love before the soul rests for eternity. The Old Gods would send you here if they thought you deserved it. Over time it became the plain of existence that dumped corrupted souls, tainted celestials, and those who were doomed to roam in total purgatory before their time was done. The Succubi, formerly known as "Evangeli" used to live in the land known as "Philiamana" (The land of Magic, Love, and Passion), and kept the realms safe. Eventually the Succubi were overwhelmed by the sheer power and volume of forces sent there from each of the other realms, and had to go into hiding, before becoming part of the darkness that their home planet had become, using their heavenly powers of seduction and shapeshifting for survival, and corruption.
When a soul leaves the body, it travels to The Underworld for punishment, sent by the Dark Lord, who still has his grip on the world, biding his time. When a soul becomes the subject of a Necromancy ritual, a rift opens in the veil between plains, and if enough young, innocent souls are sent over, the rift can open and the plains will meet, allowing all the Corrupted souls to spill back onto the midgardian plain, ready to wreak havoc, and allow more souls to be part of the Dark Lord's forces.
The Lord of the underworld is known as Denathol. He is a huge titanic demon, who sits in a giant valley, entombed in dark metal shards. As the world grows more dysfunctional each shard grows and creates immense pain for him. As he cries out, yelling and wailing, his cries cause storms, and create chaotic arcane storms that wipe out great swathes of the population, only for them to be reborn again. He was the first soul captured by the Underworld, and after finding some degree of comfortable leadership, he found himself absorbing power from other powerful corrupted souls, he grew so powerful his soul became tied to the Underworld himself. The more powerful he became, the more chaotic the land became, and the more chaotic it became, the more powerful he became. Denathol attracted the interest of Vecna, , one of the Old Gods. He began pouring more energy and passion into the overworld to try and push more power to Denathol in order to impress the Raven Queen, another one of the Old Gods.
He then left the long forbidden knowledge of Necromancy, which was picked up by Kelthrai, who became known as the Dark Lord.
