The North

The North is a cold, harsh tundra like wasteland on the Eastern Landmass of Pater. It is arguably the largest territory by size, but most of the population resides in the far south western town known as "Bjorn's Town".   The North have been largely left alone by the other territories, aside from the Aldaran Conclave conflict in the Western bridges. Following a sharp series of battles the Conclave decided it was not worth the effort of pursuing the North for it's riches quite at the moment.

Bjorns Town

A town named after it's unofficial ruler, Bjorn's Town was established as a fort to safeguard the south entrance to the territory against the invading Terranian forces. Following the period of peace between the nations, more and more people flocked to the settlement after seeing it was a safe haven in the area.   Immediately after the War of Life and Death the majority of the region was left barren, and lifeless, as many of the area had perished. Bjorn became the de facto leader following the subsequent rebuilding of the civilisation. The city is ruled by Bjorn as it's "Jarl" with several members of a small council, selected by him from a pool of candidates elected by the members of the populace.

Economy

The majority of the exports and economy in the North comes from Wool, Flax and Mining Precious metals and jewels in conjunction with the Dwarven Kingdoms to the East. A massive amount of the fishing industry in Pater is conducted by the North as part of the Eastern Treaties.

Military Power

Most of the military power comes from the average citizens, organised into levies under the command of their family heads. Many of the clans in the north swore allegience to Bjorn, who was a heavy influence in reorganising the military might after its downfall. A modest collection of infantry and light skirmishers, mostly wielding axes and spears, each citizen drills daily with weaponry to keep the military strength at an optimum peak dispite the numerical disadvantage. Anyone who has gone toe to toe with the Northern warriors has always commented on the ferocity, and vigour of each and every fighter, often times noting a wildness to each and every one of them as they fight.
