The Aldaran Conclave
The Aldaran Conclave is a nation on the Western Landmass on the continent of Pater. Comprising of the merchant clans of the old textile industry, the combined following the beginning of the War of the Five kingdoms. Arguable the largest of the five kingdoms, it comprises of one main city hub, Aldaran, which contains its main port and trade hub, Port Lantis, and a smattering of outskirting villages and towns, mostly dotted around the mountains.
The Conclave mostly finds its wealth in textiles, and more luxurious farming methods, such as sugar cane, coffee beans, and luxury meats. Trade is equally important to the conclave, as they have agreed to keep the industrial mechanics of their trading platform seperate to ensure constant synergy within the kingdoms.
Following the disapearence of Quantica, a great surge of dark energy was found across the realm. Over the course of three months, the leader of the Conclave changed his attitude, becoming paranoid, controlling and ruling with an iron fist. Lord Gaia withdrew many of the social services from the local people, and pulled a lot of the wealth into the ruling classes, and engaged in more trade with third party partners as opposed to the main five nations. The nations poverty skyrocketed over the course of these three months. The outer area became more and more destitute, and the outer walls fell into disrepair, allowing outside forces, bandits and otherwise, to attack and raid the already poor population. The cities massive population outside of the nobles and merchants grew poorer, and more discontent. Any voicing of discontent was viewed as treason, and resulted in banishment, or death. A group of adventurers were called upon to attempt to root out words of a rebellion lead by a Rakshasa in the northern town of Whitebluff. As they approached the town they were offered refuge, and were then accepted in for a parley. The Rakshasa offered a deal to counter Lord Gaia's offer, to assist in a revolution to overthrow the ruler, and hand the power back to the people.
These adventurers assisted in the coup, and following the night of fighting, in which the ruler Lord Gaia appeared to be a Revenant, the forces of the Rakshasa broke through to the throne room. As he touched the throne, the Rakshasa shimmered and appeared to turn into Lord Gaia seemingly cursed by someone previously, returning his memories.
