Altaigus

(Note: Altaigus is what those in the northeast of the Altaigus islands call the entire world. The Altaigus islands, Ottertearl and Eckneau, are a separate thing altogether)   The year is 998 EOL. Thousands of years have gone by since this land was first settled. Empires and cities have rose and fell, neutral territories have been conquered and declared independence time and time again, and more people have lived then you'll ever know.

It would make sense for the world to have settled after a while. However, that is not so. Altaigus is not a stagnant planet. Things are constantly moving and changing. There is a great tumult within Telia's government. There are whispers that a figure made of pure gold was stolen from Vajospecs not long ago. Trade pours through Barth and Chiboulin's territories in the Central Islands, further alleviating their wealth. Many more things are happening- power is changing hands overnight, new technologies are beginning to emerge, and strange stirrings of monsters in the center of Ottertearl make some feel as if all is not well.

Times are changing. Will you be able to survive them?
