Hogglin

Short, cowardly monsters that do the bidding of @Scourge. They were thought to have been eradicated when Scourge was defeated but have returned to the land with the resurrection of their master.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Hogglins are bipedal with long arms and short legs. Their large heads have long bat-like ears. They have four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. They are completely bald and have wrinkly, rust colored skin.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Hogglins are omnivours. They will eat anything that looks edible, even spoiled food and rotting meat.

Behaviour

Roaming hogglins are aggresive when they know they have the advantage. They usually travel in large groups of twenty or more, raiding small villages and attacking travellers. However, they are also very cowardly and will run in fear if the balance of power shifts against them. Their weak minds make them easily manipulated by Scourge's hand and they bend to his every whim. Scourge's power makes them fearless and mindless, acting as the wheels of his war machine to overwhelm their opponent by sheer numbers.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Hogglins rely on sight and smell. Their large ears are too floppy so their hearing is little better than a human's.
