The Oogdruks' have no formal government, rather they rely on mutual trust and cooperation to keep their society running. They have an informal leadership in the form of the Elder Forgers but each Oogdruk is free to act for themselves with no obligation to any organized leadership.
Technological Level
The Oogdruks' finest achievment is the smelting of Oogdruk Iron, a strong and durable metal that is in high demand by the other realms. By far, the crowning jewel of the Oogdruks' blacksmithing skill is Black Steel. Because of the metal's unique properties and capabilities, the recepie is a closely guarded secret of the Elder Forgers who are the only Oogdruks that know how to smelt Black Steel.
Laws
The Oogdruks abide by a common set of beliefs revolving around personal gain and family empowerment. No written law exists, rather every Oogdruk is expected to provide all the necessary things for the survival of themselves and their family. Deceit and manipulation are the Oogdruk way, they do not shun trying to take advantage of others because they understand everyone is trying to do the same to them, however they also understand that great accomplishments and wealth are possible from cooperative efforts and are able to set aside their greedy tendencies for a time to work for the common good.
