Futures of Days Past

"Year of the Rats" is a Dark Future / Dystopia setting, based on a 1980s & 1990s view of the future. This isn't the "dark-logical" progression of the post-Cold War / post 9/11 era. This setting was originally conceived and created when the New World Order of those touchstone eras had not yet been felt, or was in fact still unfolding.
Some stuff is going to look or feel campy and retro-grade compared to what we have in the real world, present day. That's intentional. Lean into it. Live a different "what-if". See where it takes you.
