Salty Maude

Salty Maude is an unusual character that the party met in Saltmarsh. She is an ugly older woman, who wears the ragged clothes of a Buccaneer, and seems to travel on a flying rowboat. She seems to have considerable power; controlling a variety of birds. She seems to be able to scry using the birds.
Salty Maude, was working with the Peryton Kraggen , to retrieve a Peryton egg lost in the town of Saltmarsh. The Party recovered the egg and bartered with Salty Maude for the egg. In exchange of the egg, Salty Maude gave William the "means to fly" and in exchange for leaving the town was promised William's shadow. Salty Maude presented William with a small rotting bird egg and instructed him to eat it. Upon doing so, Maude left with his shadow, as William started to sprout feathers from his body.
Salty Maude seemed to up her side of the bargain; appearing to have left Saltmarsh.

Disgusting looking old woman with warts on her nose. Dresses like a buccaneer and wears a tricorn hat with a damaged feather.
