Taerik history is a tragedy. During all his youth, his parents would constantly fight. He never knew what a normal conversation was. Everyday, he would see each of them plan to make the others life more miserable. This is how he learned how to instill discord and fear in all his future relations. Even tough he was damaged by this unhealthy tension between his parents, he was still sane. But when the tension culminated in his father killing his mother in front of him, he snapped. He became mad. Mad at everyone. For years he would use his skill at instilling discord in others and exploit their vulnerability. His crimes started benign, he would ruin the union of two person or convince someone to steal for him. But slowly but surely it escalated to more serious offense. He was renowned as the most toxic man ever living, but he didn't want to stop there.
Over the years he had toyed with apprentices and convinced them to do his biding, but most of them would repent after a couple of crimes and get a new life. He wanted more. He set himself to turn a good man into a madman. After a time, he succeeded. With discord, he could instill madness. It is rumored that Zimu himself came on Almilir to make Taerik ascend as the demi god of Discord and Madness. Although it was not a good news, the population was relieved to see this toxic man go.
Taerik is the closest god to Chaos. Many worshipers mistake him for the god of Chaos or for an associate.
