Allyus

Eons ago our world had islands so large that the land covered more than the water. But then a demon came, a creature of ice that pulled its power directly from the realm of water. The monster froze everything it came into contact with creating a massive wasteland of ice miles thick and hundreds of miles long. It grew its frozen domain further and further south, locking towns, cities, and people into icy tombs.   Before it could freeze all of Allyus a group of heroes fought their way to the demon and in a great battle that cost most of them their lives, they defeated it. But in doing so the ice melted and the world flooded.   Allyus is an oceanic world full of a countless number of islands; the largest, tens of thousands of miles across the smallest sitting just below the waves. Kingdoms, Queendoms, and Empires are made of close groups of islands, united for protection from the predators that hide in the depths and ride the waves.   Powerful fleets sail the waters, guarding their people, homelands, and rulers. Fast slopes patrol the borders keeping pirates and raiders at bay and the sahuagin and merrow below. But they can’t keep everything away so the civilized peoples of Allyus must be vigilant and always keep an eye on the waters.
