Personal history
Constantine was born in the year 4566, she was named Sarah after her mother. For the first 12 years of her life she lived and worked on the farm her parents owned. Constantine taught herself how to read when she was five years old by reading her mother's journals and whatever book she could "borrow" from the local general store. She taught herself basic arithmetic by age seven through her careful study of her father's trading logs.
Constantine is the third child in a family of six. Both her corn-fed diet and her work in the fields allowed her to become stronger than most of the boys in the village. Her strength and stature compared to the other children made her presence feared in any of her child social circles. She was regularly punished for getting into fights with boys over menial slights.
Constantine and her parents had a falling out when she turned 12. Constantine's parents tried to marry her off to the mayor's son, Jared. Later that month she fled from her home in the middle of the night and joined a band of Empire soldiers that was performing their usual tax runs through the villages of the empire.
She was unsuccessful in hiding her gender from the military during her training, though her sharp intellect and natural aptitude with weapons allowed her to stand out amongst her peers. A general took notice of her set of skills and took Constantine under his wing and taught her the maneuvers and skills required to join the Empire's band of Warblades.
The Empire's Warblades is a special group of specialized warriors who spearhead assaults and charges during wartime.
The Empire's slow transition to the utilization of the Seeker's guild as well as the extended peacetime between nations forced Constantine to join the Seeker's guild in order to allow her to experience adventure and combat.
