Itis used to be a teaming world full of fantastic cities and diverse cultures. Around two thousand years ago, a World wide war struck against nations, and besides the city of Sonas, all were wiped out. The world is now only wild life and twisted metal ruins, and for years was covered with a strange radiation that affected any survivors who flew too long down on ground level with what was known as the Silent Decay.   The city of Sonas floats through the sky, always moving, thousands of feat above where the last civilizations once thrived. There the Maebik live, winged humanoids who have built upon the city of their ancestors until the buildings alone soar hundreds of feat above their base. The Time Before is hardly remembered now, except for what passes down through legends and stories.   The Maebik occasionally venture down to the ground, mostly lead by groups of Flightless and Wingless supervised by squads of mages known as The Alosik, tasked with bringing back motes of earth when the population starts to grow too large for the current city structure to support. The Flightless are called such due to their permanently clipped wings, a punishment for a verity of crimes. Due to their inability to fly, they use giant flying beetles as mounts.
